Our air furnaces up to 1200°C (at the specimen) are supplied with low voltage (30 - 34V). In addition to the advantage that this system does not have to be secured separately (low voltage regulation), this has the background that we can work with high currents. This means that we have a higher heat yield compared to 230V systems.
Another advantage is the possibility of using thick heating wires with a long service life. To transform the 230V mains voltage to 30 or 34V, we use high-quality toroidal transformers. As a result, the heating wires we use can be made of particularly thick material, which has a significant impact on their service life
