Special system for testing carbon fiber composites such as CFC, superalloys and refractory metals. The chamber is constructed in the form of a horizontal cylinder. Both the front and the rear door can be extended and swung open to ensure ideal access to the test room. The application of force is sealed by means of adapted bellows in order to achieve maximum travel of the load linkage. Test machine couplings and the chamber itself are water-cooled to make the temperature manageable over longer periods of time. These chambers can be operated under protective gas atmosphere or vacuum. As measuring technology, we recommend a MAYTEC high-temperature vacuum extensomer for strain measurement and the MAYTEC bending measuring system for carrying out pressure-, 3- and 4-point bending tests.
